The Chicago Premium Outlets are housed in a gorgeous outdoor venue with stunning, modern architecture. Featuring over 140 different outlet stores, the Chicago Premium Outlets have everything Aurora residents could need. From back to school to work attire to books and electronics, the abundance of stores is plenty for a whole shopping spree. The outlets also feature many cafeteria-style dining options for easy fuel while shopping. 


The Paramount Theater was built in the 1930s and carries on the tradition of amazing theater performances including musicals, comedies, concerts, and plays. Built in a gorgeous Art Deco style with Venetian influences, the theater itself is a sight to behold. 


For a dazzling night on the town, residents can spend the evening at the Hollywood Casino. This classic casino features slots, table games, and several in-house dining and drink options. 


For an adventure in the great outdoors, the Phillips Park Zoo hosts a wide range of exciting animal species set in the quaint Phillips Park.

Things to Do 

Aurora has a rich history and a diverse population, which shows in the cultural festivals of the community. The Puerto Rican Festival is a summer celebration of the Peurto Rican heritage in Aurora, Illinois. The festival takes place over two days and showcases the best of Puerto Rican cuisine, music, arts, and crafts. Domino competitions and live music give the festival a lively vibe that can be enjoyed by the whole family. 


Along the North Aurora Riverfront Park, North Aurora Days celebrates the community by providing fun activities for the whole family. Some examples of the fun include beer and wine tents, live music, face painting, balloon sculptures, scavenger hunts, and softball. Community fun continues into the winter months with the Festival of Lights at Phillips Park. This winter showcase highlights creative light work sculptures in a holiday light display. More than a mile of over 400 different light displays highlight holiday history and tradition from Santa’s workshop to flying stags and gigantic snowflakes.
